Habs try to avoid a disappointing Tuesday mourning

I said sweep...I was wrong...
Big deal, I've also said constantly that the regular season means absolutely nothing and that is what I'm completely right about.

In fact, the Canadiens don't deserve to win this series if you really go by how they played over the last few games.
The effort's been there all year, but that doesn't mean anything now with Game 7 just hours away...

The Habs have already wasted two chances to eliminate the Bruins from the playoffs, but coach Guy Carbonneau says he's confident his team will be up for tonight's deciding game at home.

I should hope so.

This is where the experienced guys have to step up and calm the kids down, because the youngsters have shown their flaws in recent games. By flaws, I mean they've been invisible.

Bryan Smolinski has played in seven game 7's, he's 2-5...Alex Kovalev's been in five of these games and he's never lost. The Habs have never lost a playoff round when leading 3-1.

Furthermore, there have been 224 series in which a team trailed 3-1 and only 20 of those teams came back to win...that elite group include the Habs of 2004 when they rallied to beat the Bruins, when the Canadiens were coached by Claude Julien...

I'm not sure if that last part is really something Canadiens fans would feel good about...

Everyone's healthy according to Carbo...that means Saku Koivu, Francis Bouillon and Mark Streit should be in the lineup tonight.

Gametime is 7 o'clock.
